made of?
A: LG Plastics has developed an
automotive grade UV protective polymer
called ASA. This product has been
proven in the automotive industry
from such companies as Toyota, Honda
and Lexus over the past 10 years.
This product is combined with a
high impact ABS to provide a very
weather-able, strong, heat resistant,
durable, iightweight product called
Armor Lid. When compared to fiberglass
or soft tonneau covers, nothing
compares to Armor Lids level of
durability, strength, and functionality
in a tonneau cover.
Q:
What is High Impact ABS polymer?
A: ABS Polymers are made up of acrylonitrile,
butadiene, and styrene. ABS plastics
are highly versatile products that
possess superior strength and performance
with an economical cost. This high
impact ABS is combined with ASA
to prevent UV rays from chemically
breaking down ABS plastic in harsh
weather conditions providing a strong,
durable product that will last for
years on your vehicle. Your Armor
Lid Tonneau Cover is made of the
highest quality automotive grade
ABS polymers on the market.

Is my Armor Lid paintable?
A: Yes. Armor Lid can be painted
giving your truck that “custom”
look. However, we do not offer painted
covers because of the special UV
inhibitors that exist in the ASA
compound covering the lid. Painting
over this special compound will
make it difficult for paint to last
for extended periods of time in
harsh weather conditions. Painting
your Armor Lid is an option for
you but by doing so you give up
the durability to walk on or work
around this surface without scratching
it. The choice is yours!

Is the surface of Armor Lid smooth
or textured?
A: We offer a rugged texture to
resist scratches from normal wear
and tear. It is our goal that our
product lasts and looks good for
years on your vehicle.

What colors do Armor Lid come in?
A: Armor Lid only comes in our scratch
resistant black finish.

Can I lock personal items in the
bed of my truck with Armor Lid?
A: Yes. This is what its primary
design was meant to be used for.
Armor Lid has two locking mechanisms
that secure it in place providing
you with a weather-tite “trunk”
space foryour truck.

Can I stand on it?
A: Yes. Our thick, durable design
will allow you to stand on it, however,
we do not recommend standing or
jumping on any tonneau cover for
fear of slipping and falling which
may result in personal injury.

Do you have you have a universal
application to fit any truck?
A: No. Each Armor Lid is specifically
designed to exactly match your truck
bed. It contours around your truck
bed wrapping over the tail gate
and bed rail providing a weather-tite,
secure fit!
Q:
Will the Armor Lid Tonneau Cover
rub the paint on my truck?
A: Armor Lid has been designed to
fit closely to the body lines of
your vehicle. If properly installed
square on the truck bed, it is unlikely
that rubbing will occur. If this
is a major concern then we recommend
that an aftermarket tailgate protector
and bed rail caps are installed.

According to many experts, the best way to improve a pickup's fuel economy is to leave the tailgate up and cover the bed with a quality aftermarket tonneau cover. TERMS
CYC Engineering, Inc. warrants that the ABS truck tonneau cover ARMOR LID will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of FIVE (5) years from the retail date of purchase. The gas struts are warranted for TWO (2) years from the retail date of purchase. This warranty only applies to the original purchaser and is nontransferable. Warranty must be claimed with original sales receipt for proof of purchase. Original purchaser must return defective merchandise along with the purchase receipt, to the original place of purchase.
EXCLUSIONS
This warranty does not cover failure due to neglect, improper installation including any modifications to installation hardware, operating the truck with your ARMOR LID in the open position, alterations, addition of equipment, abuse, accident, corrosion, normal wear and tear, lack of maintenance, and exposure to chemicals that are not safe for plastics.
Incidental or consequential damage or loss of contents due to use, neglect, lack of maintenance, misuse of ARMOR LID tonneau is sole responsibility of the truck owner and operator. Paint wear to the truck bed can happen with any truck tonneau cover and is the sole responsibility of the truck owner. Paint damage to your truck is not covered under this warranty.
DISCLAIMER
In the event that your ARMOR LID tonneau is found to be defective under the terms of this warranty, it is at the discretion of CYC Engineering, Inc. to repair or replace the defective part. All repairs are to be made by an authorized ARMOR LID dealer. Transportation costs and labor are not associated with this warranty claim.
MAINTENANCE
Your ARMOR LID tonneau cover only requires periodic cleaning with mild car wash soap. Only use cleaners, waxes, or products that are labeled safe for use on plastics Avoid the use of any chemicals to clean your ARMOR LID unless labeled safe for plastics Avoid use of abrasive type cleansers as they may dull the finish.
The gas struts are self lubricating and should only be cleaned occasionally with a damp cloth. Premature seal failure will result if solvents or lubricants are used to clean struts.
The locking mechanisms only require occasional lubrication with lithium grease.
All installation hardware and fasteners must be checked every 2 months so often for tightness.
